LAKE DEAD is along the lines of THE HILLS HAVE EYES, concerning a group of inbreds that are based around a lake in the West. Three sisters are noticed that their grandfather, who they didn't know was still alive, had died, so they go to the funeral. Then, they and a group of friends in an RV head over to the nearby hotel to find out about their inheritance. But part of that inheritance is continuing the family blood line and the crazy old grandmother and her sons are going to make sure of that. I particularly found the relationship between the old woman and the sheriff, one of her sons, disturbing. There's not really anything new about all of this but the movie moves fast, there are some decent killings of the usual annoying characters and it's surprisingly entertaining.
