Hey now here is a sequel to a movie I loved last year it can't be bad right? If you are a fan of the original movie you may find this one has taken a different route. There are no pov or docu-movie shots this is a bread and butter film that plays out like one. The original had borrowed from other movies like Paranormal Activity with its pov style but I thought it had a fresh take on the story. I enjoyed the fake exorcist finding out that evil is all too real. Lets no forget Ashley Bells acting man its superb. Thankfully Ashley Bell is back and the sequel picks up right where the last one left off. We pick up as Ashely is putting the pieces of her life back together discovering boys and what not ooo weee. I won't spoil it for you but I will say I thought the movie lacked in scares and story and pacing. Having said that Ashley Bell plays up her role better than any Oscar winner ever and she generally does creep me out. The movie is rated pg-13 and it doesn't go anywhere near crossing the line which actually may have helped it. I feel the lack of gore and the nasty absurd could have served this movie well. You will know what I mean if you get through to the ending which is the most absurd ending I have ever seen in a Horror movie in recent times. So instead of walking the line between serious and wacky fully embrace one or the other. If you're a completionist or really have to know how the story progresses I would stay away from this one.
