Sort of like a cross between the HBO series ROME and the Clive Owen movie KING ARTHUR. In fact, it features Kevin McKidd, who was one of the regulars on ROME, as one of the film's bad guys.
The premise is that in 500AD the Goths have taken over Rome and a Roman Soldier (Colin Firth), who is protecting the ten-year-old Caesar flees to Britannia when he finds out everyone wants him and his de-throned king dead. THis all ties in with a special sword, forged from the iron of a meteor, that Caesar aquires. There's also his old, mysterious teacher (Ben Kingsley), who turns out to indeed be Merlin.
I liked this "Pre-quel" to the tale of King Arthur. The movie flies by and it's interesting.
