THE LAST MIMZY is a kid-friendly time-travel movie that's a little too hokey for my taste. The movie starts--and ends--in the far future, where a teacher explains to a group of children how mankind was able to reclaim their humanity through time-travel. Since people aren't able to make the time-trip, the scientists created a sort of intelligent, artificial life-form in the shape of a stuffed toy rabbit named MIMZY. Along with this are sent other futuristic objects, which are found by a brother and sister in our present day. The devices vastly increase their intelligence.
The movie was interesting but it's a concept that's much more fleshed out and intriguing on the similarly themed TV series THE 4400.
