The aging, alchoholic wife of a doctor wants to be young again. And her husband, who enjoys her money and wants to become famous with his research, wants to use her as a guinea pig in his anti-aging experiments. When an old African woman comes to his office one day with a mysterious powder that halts the aging process, he immediately wants to go to Africa to seize the discovery. Of course he needs his wife's money--and she goes along on the dangerous trip with him. Eventually they come upon the tribe and re-encounter the ancient African woman, who takes another potion and becomes young again. The doctor's wife takes the drink as well, though it has a price. She must kill men in order to give the process its working ingredient. She ends up killing her doctor husband, who she realizees does not love her at all, and returns to the U.S., killing strangers in order to maintain her youth. When she falls in love with her lawyer she can't bring herself to kill him--and throws herself out the 2nd storey bedroom window. When they look out to see her body it has aged a tremendous amount, like a vampire exposed to the sun.
