Though this movie has a few good scares, it really doesn't work as a horror or scare film. However, it may possibly be the scariest G rated movie of all time! The movie is told in kinda a documentary style and mixes in recreations of scenes that may have happened. The whole movie is based on a true story and many of the people in it were involved and claim the monster is real. The story is of sightings of a creature (bigfoot style) down in Arkansas in the swamplands. Many claim the creature attacked various people and animals and may still haunt the area. We all know there was a huge bigfoot craze in the 70's and plenty of cool movies and stuff came out. A lot of sightings, photos, and other 'proof' have sense be proven as hoaxes. I never heard of any of this stuff called a hoax though. That in itself makes the film kinda special even though it's not that great a movie.
