Now this is some fucked up shit! What we have here is one seriously 'oddball' semi-documentary from the late 70s that is really a full-blown exploitation "film" disguised as an informational run-down of transsexual surgery. It's strung along with interviews from Dr. Leo Wollman - a sex-change specialist and a post-op tranny talking about life as a woman (damn, if I were drunk enough I'd buy the bastard a drink!). "Let Me Die a Woman" includes some actual sex-change surgery footage (though nothing all that memorable), interviews with real she-males, reenactments of true transsexual related mishaps - the chisel castration was hilariously shitty looking - and transgender sex thrown in just for the hell of it... This is definitely a must-see for all enthusiasts of nasty obscurities and exploitation completists. Personally, the subject matter was nothing that really peaked my interest in the slightest and, I'm sorry to say, I find scrotally constructed vaginas particularly heinous looking up close; but if you dig bizarre shit, "Let Me Die a Woman" is one to seek out...
