On a strange alien world with three suns the peaceful populace of Gondahar are being turned to stone by these invading black robots. Silvain, the son of the ruler, is sent on a mission to find out what they are up to. He first encounters a tribe of deformed people, who have anything from several extra heads to a half dozen arms or feet. These turn out to be genetic experiments from Gondahar's scientists, banished away because they were so horrible looking. Yet they are peaceful and are more than willing to help Silvain on his mission. He soon discovers that the legion of robots is controlled by this giant brain (voice of Christopher Plummer). There's a bit of time travel going on as the brain from the future, which can no longer produce living cells, is sending these robots back to the past to capture people to get their life essences, which power the black robots. The brain from the present wants to stop all of this destruction so puts Silvain in suspended animation for a thousand years, to awaken and hopefully destroy the future brain. In this future Silvain encounters his deformed human allies, who have used the time-gate to get into the future. This is an interesting animated movie, intended for adults, not because of any excessive violence or nudity but because of the complicated storyline.
