This is a fun movie. Basically, a reworking of the novel 'THE LOST WORLD', this is about a group of scientists, along with some military personnel, who track down a lost experimental missile to a secluded island. The remaining natives tell them that something crashed from the sky on the top of the big mountain-and warn them that to climb the mountain means death, because no one has ever returned. They refer to it as 'The home of the Gods'. Which these gods turn out to be are surviving dinosaurs. As soon as the group reaches the plateau everything appears green (tinted from the black and white) with the tropical forest and environment. What is responsible for this is the high volcanic activity and the massive uranium fields. They encounter rampaging stop-motion-animation brontosaurus and triceratops. And some of the guys are killed in horrible ways. In the end they manage to locate the rocket, get the information they need, and escape before the entire mountain explodes.
