Kenneth (Desmond Harrington of WRONG TURN & GHOST SHIP) falls in love at first site with Nikki and will do anything for her. His work, at a company which writes instruction manuals, begins to suffer because of his new-found love and he eventually starts losing his mind. There's also a new girl at work he becomes interested in. This is Lisa (Melissa Sagemiller). As he starts to spend more time with her he spends less and less time with Nikki-and this doesn't sit well with her.To Lisa Kenneth seems ideal-he's helped her gain a permanent job-and promotion-at work and he's considerate. But when she discovers a postcard in his office that says 'With all my love-Nikki'-and sees that the woman resembles herself, even down to the clothes and hairstyle (which Kenneth helped her to choose), she becomes upset. She gets even more upset when she flips the postcard over and realizes that the woman is really a life-sized sex doll. Yes, Nikki is the anatomically correct, 10,000 dollar love-interest that Kenneth had purchased and had a tumultuous affair with.Hence to say that his developing relationship with Lisa has come to a screeching halt. And he can't resume his love with Nikki because he had cut her up in pieces and dumped her in the garbage when he had started to date a real human.By this time Nikki has become insanely jealous of Lisa-and so Kenneth kidnaps her with the intent of literally transforming her into Nikki by preserving her body by embalming her. Will he actually do it? Or will the police save her in the nick of time?LOVE OBJECT is a disturbing movie, akin to MAY and PIN, worth renting out. Written & Directed by Robert Parigi.
