This is an odd movie from Korea, based on that country's hunt for their first official "serial killer". The film primarily deals with the detectives involved in the investigation of the slayings-and they aren't above torturing suspects to get answers. One of the innocent people arrested is a local retarded man, who was actually a witness to one of the killings. We're never sure who the killer is and we never see the murders, just the aftermath. As these type of movies go, it's just "so so". MEMORIES OF MURDER is also not the best representation of Korea's law enforcement, as the trio come off like a version of The Three Stooges.
