Alan Alda is a writer who interviews a famous pianist-and becomes involved with some devil worshippers and body snatching. Upon seeing Alda's hands the pianist insists that Alda has the potential to be a great pianist himself-and starts influencing his life. Alda's wife though, portrayed by Jaqueline Bisset, isn't too keen on the idea and repeatedly says as much. When the old pianist dies-and her husband starts acting like him and playing the piano like him-she becomes very suspicious and soon learns that her husband really isn't there anymore.
