In truth, this is more a Chupacabra movie than it is a werewolf movie, but it works well enough in the genre to be included. In a small Texas town the creature starts killing humans for some reason and it's up to a group of high school friends to uncover just why this is happening. This movie has a bit more production value than your shot-on-digital flick and the monster costume works well 90% of the time, particularly with the gruesome killings. This thing is hilarious, like the Tazmanian devil when it attacks.
The only thing that honestly doesn't work is the main character's voice-overs, which make this sound like an 'After School Special' or an episode of 'My So Called Life'.
This is a more interesting werewolf movie than the overblown SKINWALKERS.
