In this sequel to THE X FROM OUTER SPACE, giant monster Guilala returns to Japan to wreak havoc. He does this when the G8 Summit is happening, in which all the nations of the Earth are meeting to discuss Global Warming. However, all these people have various agendas, GW being the low priority. The story primarily revolves around two reporters (as most of those 60's giant monster movies do). They stumble upon a tribe of people in the forest dancing to some god they worship and this is Take-Majin, who sort of looks like the multi-armed Kali.
A task force is created to fight the silly looking Guilala. They try to drop him into a massive hole, try to cover him in plastic and gas him and even build a giant headphone type device in order to fry his brains. None of these work. However, those reporters go back to that secluded tribe and with their help summon Take-Majin, who appears just in the nick of time. The army had fired a nuclear warhead at Monster X--and if it had hit would have created zillions of the monsters, which would cover the Earth. Take-Majin appears in front of it, in a ball of light, and stops it with his ass.
As you may have surmised, this is a giant monster comedy, which has all the elements of a classic Kaiju movie. I wasn't quite expecting this--but the tone fits it well and I was laughing throughout the movie.
