This is a near perfect homage to the Toho giant monster movies from the 60's and 70's, although this entire half-hour film is computer animated. The story takes place in the near future and the colonizing of Mars as awoken a huge monster which comes to earth and reigns destruction. An aging, retired scientist, still mourning the death of his young daughter over a decade before because of an accident in his lab, realizes he's earth's only hope--and activates this huge robot he constructed to battle the creature. He sits inside the robot's head and controls it, bringing to mind Johnny Socko's Giant Robot.
If you're finding you need to scratch your itch for a giant monster movie then watch this.
