Teenagers exploring an abandoned science lab are killed by some type of creature. In the same town people start contracting a weird virus and are quarantined. A military group is sent into the building where the lab is to kill the rat monster, as it's a carrier of the disease and therefore its blood may harbor the cure for it.
One by one the army guys are killed by the creature, which looks very much like a giant monster you'd seen in an old ULTRAMAN episode. Only it doesn't work with the monster being human-sized. It is way too rubbery and goofy looking, especially because it never blinks its eyes.
If you want to watch a good rat monster movie then find the Italian movie RAT MAN or even the Sondra Locke directed RAT BOY.
