Nick Knight (Rick Springfield) is a vampire detective working in Los Angeles. His Master, Lacroix (Michael Nader) has hunted him down and wants to bring him back to being a full-fledged vampire. Nick has given up attacking humans for blood and even tries tolerating sunbathing and eating food, hoping to build an immunity. The coroner knows his secret and helps him try to curb his vampire appetite. Dr. Alyce Hunter (Laura Johnson) is the love interest, an archeologist who has uncovered a strange stone aztec goblet which has the figure of a vampire face on it. Knight, coincidently, has another one just like it, which he found over fifty years before. Knight's reluctant partner, Schanke (John Kapelos), offers some comic relief.
What I like is that each morning he watches the sunrise on this bank of televisions he has in his loft. He warms up his blood in the microwave and when he changes into a vampire, not only do his eyes change, his face bumps up like the vampires in Buffy The Vampire Slayer series. However, Geraint Wyn-Davies, who portrays Knight on the series FOREVER KNIGHT is undeniably the better actor.
This show (and the subsequent TV series) is better than the recent TV vampire detective show MOONLIGHT.
