After a World War that has destroyed all of human civilization, a strange puppet like creature comes to life and starts to explore his new world. He encounters others like himself, who also have numbers as names. After he accidently awakens a sentient machine that starts mass producing weapons of war, it's up to him and the others of his kind to stop it. This sort of reminded me of the machines in MATRIX crossed with the assembly line of MUTANT CHRONICLES.
I'm not sure what the point of this movie is. Yes, the computer animation is beautiful and a strange world is created, but it's about sock puppets battling an evil machine. It's said several times that the puppets are now the inheritors of the Earth and that it's up to them to do things right, but there's only a half dozen of them and they can't reproduce. So so what that they defeat the evil machine--it ultimately doesn't make any difference to the state of the world.
