When this television movie first aired I absolutely hated it. But an opinion can change on a second viewing, eleven years later. Here, a couple adopts a baby girl from a nun run orphanage, unaware that this is the child of Damien Thorne. The nuns know that the child is evil but don't say anything. The girl, named Delia, grows up to an eight-year-old and seems normal, at least to the parents, because she acts differently around them. They don't see her evil side, such as when she taunts her fellow students. In one scene she's almost run over by a truck but a Rotweiller jumps on her, knocking her out of harms way. From that point on her and the big dog are inseparable. Later, a nanny is hired to help care for her-and she immediately gets a bad vibe from the kid. She introduces the child to her psychic friend, Noah, who can see people's auras-but the aura he sees around the child is black and muddy, with red streaks through it. Evil. He splits in a hurry. Later, the nanny takes her to a 'psychic fair'-and this causes havoc as all the psychics are overcome by her evil. A fire breaks out, people catch on fire and the whole fair goes up in flames. Soon, this woman is killed when the pet dog knocks her out a window. A new nanny is hired but, unbeknown to them, she's part of the 'Damien Cult'. When the mother finds out that she's pregnant, a near impossibility, she's ecstatic. But this soon turns to fear when she suspects that her daughter wants to kill her unborn. Ironically, this isn't the case. When the baby boy is born, her fear only increases. It turns out that the child she is carrying is in fact Delia's twin, implanted in her by her pediatrician, who is also a follower of Satan. It seems that Delia was carrying her brother's embryo within her-and this was taken out by the doctor and implanted in the mother. The mother freaks out with this knowledge, that she's carrying the AntiChrist, and she kills the doctor. Unfortunately she is killed off. Delia, her brother, and her adopted father, who is a politician on his way to the presidency walk off into the distance, harboring an age of evil. Again, if you haven't watched this movie since it first aired give it a second chance.
