"Outtake Reel" is a cool faux-documentary, tongue-and-cheek horror flick that offers up a nice touch of 'sleaze' along with some serious unpredictability...
The film consists of a series of outtakes from a supercilious film-maker's (played by the actual writer/director Scott Feinblatt) latest production - a horror tale that snobbishly excludes gore and nudity for the sake of "art". The behind-the-scenes cameraman (with a predilection for "Breakfast Club" quotes) becomes intent on showing the director the error of his bloodless/boobless ways in the sickest possible way...
No more must be said since the flick contains a few crucial twists and turns that need not be spoiled. The premise is quite clever and the performances are all solid. Tiffany Shepis and Uncle Lloyd Kaufman make small cameos towards the end, as well. "Outtake Reel" is a fast-paced and entertaining watch!
