Surreal tale of a computer programmer (Jeremy Sisto) living in a desolate urban landscape-who discovers a computer virus that also infects humans. I've read in various places that the director compares his movie to Kafka adaptation THE TRIAL, and it very much has that claustrophobic, paranoid feel to it. The thing is, you have to be in the right mood to watch a film like this. The computer programmer encounters his strange apartment neighbors, including disillusioned nurse ( (Deborah Unger of THE GAME) and a quirky inventor (Udo Kier) whose best friend is a talking android head. You also get the sense that this takes someplace in the near future, as the technology is a bit more advanced. This is also a different part for lead Jeremy Sisto, who portrays a victim going slowly insane rather than being malevolently crazy. So, if you're a David Lynch fan or simply like movies which have a circular ending, then you should enjoy this experience.
