This movie takes place on an alternate world, like the movie THE BREED (not the killer dog movie, the vampire one with Adrian Paul), in which vampires are the good guys. An alchemist experiment was responsible for creating them in the Middle Ages - and ever since that time they have been mankind's benefactors. They feed off of humans but never kill them. In return, the vampires are able to cure disease and their blood also has healing properties.
Trouble arises when one of the vampires goes insane and starts feeding on and killing humans. Another vampire (Dougray Scott) is sent to capture him and bring him back to The Brotherhood, where he can be contained. He is captured, but he escapes and is intent on spreading a plague of insanity to the world. He wants to transform all the vampires into killers and kill as many humans as he can. A woman detective (Saffron Burrows of WING COMMANDER), who was nearly killed by the serial killer, is also on the hunt.
PERFECT CREATURE is one of the most original vampire movies I have seen.
