A lone fisherman, in a rowboat, is pulled under by a rubber suit monster. The next day the authorities, and a visiting marine biologist find his body and boat on the beach. One of them says "He's burned and parts of the boat are charred, but there's no sign of fire." Well, yeah, he was in the water. It turns out that a scientist is doing experiments and transforms a Red Ear Slider turtle (never mind that these turtles are NOT salt-water) into a man-sized sea monster that generates radioactivity. The good scientist has lots of conversations with the local police detective on the same section of the beach. In the end, the monster's creator feels responsible and goes out alone to blow it up. I was always curious about seeing this much heard of movie and now my curiosity is sated.
