The Larry Cohen episode, although featuring a quirky performance by Michael Moriarity ("Q", ISLAND OF THE ALIVE) can't overcome the implausible David M. Schow script (based on his short story), in which it seems that every other person out on the road is an active serial killer. A bus breaks down in the middle of the desert and some of the passengers decide to stay there while others get rides or start walking on their own. Among these is actress Fairuza Balk (THE ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU, RETURN TO OZ) who is totally wasted in this (and by that I mean her talents), as it could have been anyone in the part. The episode is far too cliched and boring. Face it, nothing can compare to the original HITCHER movie in regard to hitch-hiking and serial killers.
