I'll admit I wasn't too enthused to hear about Corman's remake of his own classic film, but this damn thing ends up doing okay. Hell, it's fairly bloody, gory, and boasts a couple of nice bare-chested ladies. The opening attack features a chick with some major mams, so titty freaks take note! The story is basically the same as the original, just plug in Punky Brewster, minus her once major league tits & William Katt, minus his greatest American hero costume and you get a fairly good movie. This new Piranha looks very similar to the old one with a few added gore scenes, like the poor bastard laying on the shore with shredded meat for legs. How did he not bleed to death saving those brats? If you're a fan of the original, this will not offend you at all. I love both old ones and this managed not to piss me off. I just can't really understand why this was needed or made, but at least it had big tits in it.
