In the future Earth gets a message from aliens in outer space. A probe lands-and it tells that their spaceship has crashlanded on Mars. A team is put together, led by John Saxon, and they go to see if there are any survivors. The only one left alive is a woman, who has white hair and greenish skin. They don't think of her as a threat, that is, until she kills one of the astronauts (Dennis Hopper) by drinking his blood. They tie her up but she's still able to kill the doctor, using some type of hypnotism she does with her glowing green eyes. Now, the only ones left are Saxon and his girlfriend, the last crewman-and they have to survive until they get to Earth. They want to kill her but Earth command says that they are to bring her back so they can study her. But she's not exactly what she seems-and she's left a big surprise on the spaceship for them to find...
Although this does have some of the hokyness of those 50's space movies it is a creepy movie, in large part because of the performance of the actress who potrays the alien vampire.
Written and directed by Curtis Harrington.
