Senior members of the International High School of Prague, all with different accents, from Spanish to German, decide to have a pool party. But to give it an edge they decide to break into this bar that has a huge, cavernous pool. There are many different pools, twists and tunnels, not to mention a giant water tube slide.Once there, one by one, people are killed by a slasher who wears a skull mask and wields a machete. It's hinted that the killer could be different members of the group-but when it's revealed it did surprise me, simply because it was so obvious. All of this is very familiar because it follows the tried-and-true slasher formula. And it's also really silly when all these supposed high schoolers look like they are thirty-years old. What makes THE POOL decent is some of the characterization, The gore and an above average sound track. So if you're in the mood for what's basically a rerun then take a dive into this movie.
