Jess (Sarah Michelle Gellar) has an ideal marriage with Ryan and they just celebrate their one-year anniversary. But Ryan's ex-con brother, Roman, has been straying with them while he gets back on his feet and he scares Jess. Roman has anger issues and wishes he had a different life and is clearly jealous of his brother's happiness. When Roman overhears that Jess wants him to leave, he takes off the next day and will be in violation of his parole is he goes out of State. So his brother goes after him, in the fog, and they get in an accident on the Golden Gate Bridge. Both brothers end up in comas, though it is Roman who awakens first. And he insists that he is Ryan.
Slowly Jess is convinced that he is her husband, somehow returned in his brother's body. Meanwhile, the body of her husband remains in a coma.
I liked how it kept me guessing and the movie makes you change your viewpoint a few times. However, there's no clear-cut answer and assumes that you'll assume what's really going on. Also, there's a great performance by Lee Pace (PUSHING DAISIES) who I didn't even recognize for fifteen minutes. This body hopping tale will appeal to the audience of GHOST WHISPERER and MEDIUM--and, of course, any BUFFY fan.
