As with most Troma movies you have to take this one tongue-in-cheek, or rather beak-in-cheek, as it's a parody of zombie movies.
The American Chicken Bunker, owned by a former member of the KKK, builds his newest franchise over Native American burial grounds. There's also toxic waste, of course. When he offers free chicken to help quay the protestors that are always outside the building, the spirits begin mutating over the workers and customers, so there are all these really weird looking zombie chicken people. In one scene, where most of the action takes place, one of the chicken people rips off the face of another woman and starts eating it, saying "I know it's fattening but I like the skin". There's also a truly gross-out scene in which an obese guy has a bad reaction to the food he ate. It actually made me sick and may be one of the most disgusting scenes in a horror movie, ever. The main character is Arbie, a nerd, who finds out that his girlfriend is really a lesbian, which is really just an excuse to have a few gratuitous lesbian scenes.
I really didn't find this very entertaining, though I must say it is a completely different take on zombies.
