The intro credit sequence, which establishes the college-age characters taking a boat trip & also a meteor that is hurtling towards the Earth, is the best thing about this cliche-ridden movie. After the meteor hits the boatload of young adults is forced to land on a nearby light-house island where they are soon stalked by green covered aliens. Some of them are taken over and sport a green growth, others are just eaten a little. Why is it that these predators don't eat a substantial amount of their prey? Of course, the keeper of the lighthouse turns out to be an ex-marine with demolition experience-and what do you know, he has some explosives there on the island. Also, when there are only a few survivors left they don't want to leave. They, in typical American movie way, want to 'Kill those bastards'. The very ending of the movie can be seen a mile away. You know you're in trouble when the box art has quotes like 'An absolute scream fest!', 'Rip your heart out Horror' and 'Unrivaled Terror', yet these blurbs aren't attributed to any review but made up by the distributor of the movie. I guess all those things would be true if you never saw a horror movie-take that back, a movie, before.
