I thought this better than the first two sequels, as it's not as formulaic, and is more in the spirit of the first installment. Rather than there being the fallen angel Gabriel, there is an angel named "John", who may be good or bad. The villain is the demon Belial, "Demon of the Flesh", who is able to body hop from one human to the next. He is trying to get the book of Revelations-which go beyond that of which is written in the bible. Whoever controls this book will control everything. The humans involved are a Romanian cop, who had given up his parents to the secret police twenty-five years before, and a woman (Kari Wuhrer), who turns out to be his sister, who was spared the parents death. The sister has the book in her possession and the others try to find her. The movie has a good, satisfying ending, not entirely what is expected. It's also good to see Doug Bradley in a role besides that of Pinhead. I look forward to seeing more PROPHECY movies.
