First, I must say that the scenes involving the various types of sharks attacking people are great. It's a good use of live stock footage, computer effects and fake shark heads-and gallons of blood. The movie starts off with two alien spaceships crashing near Mars and a piece of one of them plunges into the Earth's ocean, taking a ship with it. It's also landed smack dab in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle, where there's also an underwater science lab called the Oshona, run by Corin Nemec (STARGATE, MOSQUITO MAN) and Vanessa Angel (WEIRD SCIENCE the series), who are the married scientists. For some reason (which is explained at the end of the movie) the sharks start attacking the station and anyone who is in the water near that piece of alien wreckage. A sub, piloted by Corbin Bernsen (THE DENTIST), goes to help-and aboard with them is a sinister government agent who succeeds in creating a lot of trouble for everyone.Basically, RAGING SHARKS is a low budget version of THE ABYSS, but with the addition of killer sharks tearing people apart.
