240 years after a nuclear war, a group of humans, riding motorcycles and old cars, decide to camp out in the ruins of a city. Much to their surprise they find boxes of food in one of the big rooms of a building. However, they also find the previous tennants, whose corpses are all chewed up by the numerous rats. In one of the nastier scenes of the movie a rat crawls in a naked woman's sleeping back and presumably crawls into the only available orifice....later, when the group finds her, dead, her mouth starts moving and the rat's head pops out of her mouth--it at its way through her body!
However, the best part of the movie is the ending when all of these people in containment suits and helmets come above ground and the the two survivors think they are being rescued....and one of them takes off his helmet to reveal that --well, you have to see the movie.
