This very low budget Syfy movie brings to mind, of course, TOTAL RECALL. It's some forty years after the Mars colonies have declared independence from Earth, which had been treating its inhabitants as slaves for the past few hundred years. The main story is about former freedom fighter Alec (Robert Patrick) who is now an alcoholic since his wife and daughter were killed by allies during the revolution. Jake, his adult son, is now a law enforcer. But during a skirmish with some outlaws Jake sees his sister. She's been alive and raised by the rebels.
I am completely unfamiliar with the video game (gasp!) so I don't know how this compares. As a sci-fi movie, though, it's forgettable. And obviously populated by Canadians.
