The Return of the Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman
Lee Majors and Lindsay Wagner reprise their roles as Col. Steve Austin and Jaime Sommers. It's been ten years since the series ended and Steve Austin had retired from OSI to run a fishing charter boat, which he owns. Jaime Sommers, sporting a weird 80's "Flock of Seagulls" hairdo, is working as a therapist. Oscar Goldman convinces the two of them to work together, to help stop a terrorist organization led by Martin Landau.
It's revealed that Steve has a kid from a brief marriage he told no one about (the writers pulled that one out of their asses). The twenty-three year old, Michael Austin, is graduating from the Airforce. On his first flight afterwards, he crashes and loses an arm, two legs and an eye. Before you can say the word cybernetic Steve convinces Oscar Goldman to give his son bionic replacements. These bionics are much more advanced and the young Austin can run faster than the two older models. He can also shoot a laser beam out of his eye. This incident gives father and son lots of time to bond.
It was interesting seeing this, as I watched those two shows as a kid, but it's a typical television reunion movie that doesn't offer much.
