Right off the bat this is an inferior sequel. The first one, a classic, was shot in color-this one is in black and white. Secondly, the son of the scientist, who is trying to repeat his father's experiment of teleportation, is not a likeable character. The movie starts with the funeral of his mother and we're immediately reintroduced to his uncle, played by Vincent Price (who really hams it up this time around). Price doesn't want to support his nephew in his endeavor but is basically blackmailed into helping him. Compounded to this is the fact that the nephew has a criminal partner, who ends up locking him in the teleporter, on purpose, with a fly. You guessed it, like father like son. The fly headed monster gets his revenge by killing the crafty partner and is eventually reunited with his human parts. Much more interesting is the third FLY movie, CURSE OF THE FLY.
