It's been two years since the last time David Banner has transformed into the green goliath. During this time he's been dating a good looking woman scientist and has been working at a scientific lab constructing a device called the Gamma Transponder. This would be a new source of energy. What people don't know is that it is also the means to cure him of The Hulk. One night he decides to go for it and see if it will indeed cure him. But it's interrupted by an intruder named Donald Blake, who was one of Banner's former students.Blake tells banner about his problem-how he found an ancient viking grave on an archeological expedition in Norway and how he can summon this guy named THOR, an ancient viking. Instead of actually becoming Thor, as in the comic book, Blake here just summons him and then seems like a wimpy sidekick to the viking. This does not work too well. Blake, who looks like Andy Dick, is too much of a wuss. The actor who plays Thor, on the other hand, is well cast and looks the part. When I first saw this movie sixteen years ago I thought it extremely goofy-but it definitely improved over time. The HULK is more ferocious than in the series and they made him appear larger in size. And Bixby always does a great Banner.
