This is a severely anticlimactic mini-series about 'The End of Days'. Bill Pullman is College Professor Massey, whose daughter was killed by a notorious Satanist (Michael Massee of THE CROW) named Hayden. Hayden is already caught when the movie starts and we learn about this event through some flashbacks.Massey is soon contacted by a hot looking nun, Sister Jo (Natasha McElhone of FEARDOT.COM, SOLARIS), who believes that it is soon to be 'The End of Days', when both Christ and the anti-Christ are born and humanity all but destroyed. Rather than have large, apocalyptic type world-wide events happen, things happen on a much smaller scale, mostly involving the Professor and the nun. Hayden escapes from prison and kidnaps Massey's son this time. There's this whole needless-and uninteresting subplot about Hayden's followers brainwashing the teenager, which probably kills at least an hour of this mini-series. The strangest special effects are when Hayden regrows an amputated finger and when the Anti-Christ is born from a black goat. It's hard to believe that David Seltzer, the writer/director responsible for THE OMEN trilogy, came up with this lame fiasco. There's no sense of immediacy, no horror and very little supernatural goings-on. Worse, there's no resolution and the open ending leaves this wide open for a possible series that will probably be even more unsatisfying.
