The second season of the alien show has much more action than the first season, probably because at the time they were trying to compete with shows like ANGEL and BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. It's revealed who the three alien hybrids are-royalty from another planet-and that there are already enemy aliens on Earth, called Skins, who want to hunt them down and take them back to their home planet for execution by the new government. One of the regular characters of the show dies, which took me by surprise, and it's even more surprising who murdered him. The best episodes are when a future version of Max appears to prevent his younger self and his girlfriend from consumating their relationship, and thus save the Earth from a future invasion, and when the trio encounters three other alien hybrids who look just like them.
I enjoyed the second season more than the first, as it's riskier, there's more growth to the characters and more needed science-fiction rather than soap opera.
