This is a pretty interesting movie if you can overlook some of the obvious plot holes and contrivances. It also has some of the scariest zombie scenes I've seen in a loooonggg time. Lou Diamond Philips (who is in about half of the direct to video movies released nowadays) is a Federal Agent transporting a key witness to LA--but a lot of stuff happens to detain him and his agents and they are forced to take a condemned highway, Route 666. But there's a problem with the road--it's haunted by these five zombies, members of a chain gang who were killed thirty years before--and when they come across someone they rip them apart and make them a part of the road with their sledgehammers and road tools. And one of these unjustly killed criminals just happens to be the main character's father...Anyway, the zombies here are relentless and the makeup effects are great. Check it out.
