A woman gives birth to a really small baby, whom the father names Tom Thumb. The baby matures but doesn't get any larger than about five inches tall--so he gets small clothes and furniture for him. But the kid is snatched by the evil government agents who imprison him in this really strange lab where they are creating mutant creatures. Tom eventually escapes from the clutches of the giant humans, with the help of a friendly monster, and discovers a whole colony of little people like himself. Then, he's forced to choose between being one of them or going back to his father. Although all the humans are real people everything in this movie is stop-motion animated. Very surreal, like one of those Rankin Bass Christmas specials as if made by David Lynch. Definitely worth checking out. Conceived, written, edited and directed by Dve Borthwick.
