Jolene Blalock (T'Pol from ENTERPRISE) and James Marsters (Spike from ANGEL/BUFFY) headline this claustrophobic horror movie in which a cast of characters have no memory when they wake up in a hospital test facility. They wander around the empty corridors, see lots of blood splattered on the walls, and eventually come to the conclusion that they are not alone. They meet up with other amnesiacs, some of who may be insane and/or prisoners - or who may be in charge of the facility. There's also a vampiric Shadow monster that's after them, a creature that leaves only some blood after it feeds. I've seen this typical scenario of people trapped in a building with a monster in far too many horror movies to count, but this is worth seeing because it's done so well. I was never bored or tempted to hit the forward scan button. Check it out, it's probably the best horror movie released on DVD this month (August 2007).
