Directed by Brett Piper
This was okay, not the best Brett Piper movie I've seen, primarily because the focus is on actress Misty Mundae - and I simply don't get her appeal. She looks like she's twelve or thirteen years old so I guess there are a lot of couch-potato pedophiles out there. I simply find her overrated and very irritating.
Unfortunately, the movie centers around her character, which his that of a "Scream Queen" dissatisfied with her lot in life, who wants to become a "real actress". When the studio's producers are looking for a replacement girl, they watch an alien invasion movie, which is one of the segments. I found this the most entertaining part of the movie. A rocket lands in a junkyard and the owner must deal with this huge, spider-like robot the miniature aliens construct from the old cars. There's some great stop-motion animation, something you never see anymore since the advent of CGI.
Another story is about a giant brain creature from a million years in the future who needs to feed off the emotions of humans. The monster is creepy looking and the story is quite funny.
SHOCK-O-RAMA title doesn't quite fit the movie, as there's nothing shocking about it. The movie is too tame for what the title implies.
If you're a Misty Mundane fan I'm sure you'll like this, otherwise it's worth seeing simply for that one segment with the stop-motion animation.
