A very uptight, emotionally impaired lawyer, Bryan Becket (Timothy Daly) inherits an old house from his Aunt. Although it's supposed to be haunted he nevertheless moves in while he and his wife Robin have a trial separation. However, his partner Sully (Tom Arnold) tells him soon after that his Aunt willed her house to an Institute that studies psychic/supernatural phenomena. Infuriated, he goes there to visit the place and scoffs at the idea of there being ghosts and other supernatural phenomena. Yet the longer he stays in the house the more it provokes strange feelings in him. Slowly but surely his close-minded attitude changes and he enlists the help of a young psychic (Zoe Saldana of STAR TREK) to help him uncover the mystery. As soon as she enters the house she tells him that something bad happened there. What that is, exactly, comes as a surprise to both him and the viewer.
