Classic slasher entry from the VHS rental craze day...made because the original rented so well. Cover of the box was so awesome, with a hawt chick in short shorts, carrying a hockey mask and Freddy gloves, so...what self-respecting horror fan could resist? And who IS that model on the box? She definitely isn't the lead role and isn't even IN the movie! Still, we are rewarded with a pretty standard, though humorous slash flick, shot on 35mm film even though execution and production value looks startlingly like a backyard shot-on-video flick. Maybe part of its charm? Transsexual camper turned counselor Angela (here essayed by Bruce Springsteen's sister, Pamela!) decides to kill kids who are bad campers: hence, almost all the kids she's supervising! If they are drinking, have a potty mouth, having promiscuous sex, doing drugs, or ANYTHING she deems as bad...they're outta the game, man! Angela dispatches of everyone in cheery, humorous fashion, including burning, stabbings, beheadings, eye gouging, throwing one chick down into the outhouse toilet, scalding, and many more scenes. Once the slashing begins, it's pretty nonstop and clever cool, and love the homage to FRIDAY THE 13TH and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME where all the victims are propped up in a cabin for "Final Girl" Renee Estevez (yup, Charlie Sheen's sister!) to find. That's about all there is to this movie, pretty much the crazy transsexual killer from the original is back, doing her thing! Although "R" rated, the kills are still fun and there's loads of nudity in the movie, which I loved. Can't get enough hot young camper ladies showing off their tits and ass, and wow, there's really some lookers in this one who ain't shy! Despite a super lame ending and piss poor execution, this direct-to-video movie is a lot of fun to watch and re-watch for the undiscriminating slasher fanatic, all the elements are here! I just wish they had used VHS to capture the madness in lieu of 35mm film...
