Not nearly as classic as its father, this poor baby went for tongue-in-cheek silliness instead of the seriousness of the 1st. It's still kinda fun, but just a bit too comical as Kong's kid is a smaller albino version of dad. He is much better tempered though and seems to prefer helping to crushing. This movie was made on the heels of King Kong to cash in and just doesn't feel the same at all. Willis O'Brien did the FX again but hated the damn thing and it's script from day one so I hear. I guess this is more of a historical footnote now than anything. If you wanna see another Kong film, here's the direct sequel, but enjoy it for what it is and don't expect a classic like the King.
