Oliver Reed is millionaire Jason Kincaid, who was injured by a monstrous serpent during a safari hunt in Africa. He survived the reptiles poison but now has a strange telepathic bond with the creature, being able to see through its eyes when it kills. He wants to stop these nightmares so he hires some men to capture it and bring it back to the States. Kincaid hires a university professor, Dr.Tom Brasilian (Peter Fonda) to study it but the creature escapes and starts killing people. After it bites them the people start to swell up and 'pop'. These effects are decent enough but the snake is way too stiff and rubbery looking.
There's a sublot about a snake cult that wants to have this serpent and also the attraction between Kincaid's twenty something niece (Kerrie Keane of INCUBUS) and the doctor.
