This is the best Star Trek movie--and I always have considered this a zombie film, as the dead-skinned Borg are basically techno-zombies. The movie immediately gets off to a bang with an encounter with the Borg with the crew thrust bck in time to when humans have their "first Contact" with an alien race, the Vulcans. The Enterprise has to save Earth, save the Federation, and make sure that first contact goes off without a hitch. The most entertaining characters are James Cromwell as Dr. Zefram Cochrane, inventor of the first Warp Drive ship, Alfre Woodward as Lily Sloane, his companion, and Alice Krige (GHOST STORY, SLEEPWALKERS) as The Borg Queen. And, of course, a drunk Deanna Troi is pretty amusing.
