This takes a half-hour to get into the movie, but once there it's an entertaining little independent anthology of horror. Three thugs named J. Dog, Keith and Peaches start terrorizing an old homeless man after he witnesses them making a kill. The man pleads for his life-and tells them 'true' supernatural stories to stall for time.In the first story, 'THE RECKONING', a young African American girl named Jessica is left to drown on dry land after her classmates drag her out of a swimming pool. They abandon her there because they hear her heart still beating-and figure someone else will find her in time. No one does. The movie then skips to twenty-years later, when the three friends are met by an extremely vengeful ghost. Does the dead girl's mother have anything to do with this?In the second story, THE CLINIC, a woman named Shawanda goes for a second abortion and is haunted by the images of a young boy covered in blood. This is presumably the ghost of the kid from her previous abortion. She has vivid nightmares of the doctor and nurse removing her guts. When she awakens she decides to not have the abortion. This was a bit too preachy and heavy-handed.In GRADUATION NIGHT an introverted college girl is raped, becomes pregnant and then commits suicide. Her ghost comes back to have vengeance on those responsible. The three stories fit in the common theme of an African-American women becoming or encountering spirits. Although the production value of the movie is low, the performances and pace of the editing make it an easy watch.Directed by J.D. Hawkins and Corey Shields.
