Another "spoofy" giant mutant killer shark movie that features actor John Schneider (SMALLVILLE) as the owner of an oil company. He doesn't do much other than show his face and talk to news crews. Meanwhile, much of the story revolves around a female biologist who wants to figure out what's going on. The oil platform drill releases a monster, prehistoric shark, which sinks the structure and then proceeds to eat humans.
There's not a lot of difference between this and the hundred-or-so other killer shark movies other than that it's far better than any Asylum produced giant animal flick. But is that saying much?
